Karunika Spiritueel Centrum

In Western works, yoga is often referred to as a lifestyle, a path of personal development and a discipline. In Sanskrit, the word yoga means “link”, a connection between the individual and the Supreme or Divine Being. Yoga is a universal system, appropriate for everybody notwithstanding age, material situation and adjustable to personal physical and mental conditions.

In Indian sources (Vedic scriptures), Hatha Yoga is also mentioned as the ancient science that was millenniums ago given by god Shiva (Divine Being) to his eternal consort, goddess Parvati (Divine Energy) to realize the power of Devine Unity, which, according to the yoga philosophy, is the supreme goal of a human being.

Hatha Yoga is the only system of yoga that thoroughly addresses all aspects of the human condition: physical, emotional, causal, mental and spiritual allowing for purification of the mind body and spirit. Realization of this knowledge allows living a healthy life not subjected to the influences of illnesses, depressions and old age.
